The Pasadena woman landed the biggest Lottery win of her life with a Triple Red 7s Tripler scratch-off purchased in Linthicum

PASADENA, MD – A Pasadena great-grandmother who spent decades hoping for a major Lottery win finally got one, scratching her way to a $57,777 top prize that easily surpassed her previous biggest payday.

The Maryland Lottery said the woman claimed her Triple Red 7s Tripler prize on Sept. 3.

Her name was not released.

The Pasadena resident is a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who told Lottery officials she had been waiting many years for a win of this size.

Before hitting the $57,777 scratch-off prize, her largest Lottery victory had been a $5,000 Pick 4 win.

The woman has not settled on exactly how she will spend her latest winnings, but she indicated the money could make the upcoming holiday season a memorable one for members of her family.

Her winning ticket came from Whitey’s Liquors, located at 803 North Hammond’s Ferry Road in Linthicum.

The retailer will receive a $577.77 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the top-prize ticket.

Triple Red 7s Tripler is a $5 scratch-off that went on sale in May with eight $57,777 top prizes.

Following the Pasadena woman’s victory, four of those top prizes remain unclaimed, according to the Maryland Lottery.
