WASHINGTON, DC – The Metropolitan Police Department is on the hunt for suspects involved in a recent shooting that occurred in Northeast Washington, D.C.

The incident took place on Monday, December 18th, around 6:54 p.m. Police were called to the intersection of 49th Street and Hennie Helen Burroughs Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim stated he was assaulted and shot by two individuals in the 4400 block of Hunt Place.

Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of the suspects, aiding in the investigation.

The police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or to submit tips via the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The public is advised not to approach the suspects but to inform authorities of any relevant information.
