A protest at Portland State University on Monday evening resulted in the arrest of 34-year-old Emery Rose Hall, who was taken into custody by Portland police on misdemeanor charges and released later the same night without bail. Hall, identified in booking records as female and also known by the alias Gordon Hall, was one of several individuals detained during the demonstration.

According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Hall was booked at 7:49 p.m. on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief—both misdemeanor offenses. Hall was released on her own recognizance at an undisclosed time later Monday night.

This marks at least the second time Hall has been arrested at a protest in Portland. In May 2021, Hall was detained during another demonstration, though all charges in that incident were eventually dropped.

Monday’s event, described by police as a politically charged protest involving groups associated with Antifa, drew significant law enforcement response but resulted in no reported injuries.

The incident at PSU was one of several demonstrations held in Portland over the weekend. Law enforcement officials have not yet released a full account of the number of individuals arrested or cited in connection with the event.
