New Hampton Resident Sentenced in Child Rape Case

**Goshen, NY** – Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced on Wednesday that Justin Babb, a 41-year-old resident of New Hampton, was sentenced to 18 years in state prison. The sentencing followed Babb’s guilty plea to charges of engaging in sexual conduct with a child.

On May 23, Babb admitted in Orange County Court to Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, acknowledging the crime, which took place in August 2023, involved a child under eleven. Alongside the prison sentence, Babb will have a post-release supervision period of ten years and will be registered under the New York Sex Offender Registration Act.

District Attorney Hoovler commended the Orange County Child Abuse Investigation Unit for their efforts leading to Babb’s arrest. He noted the severity of Babb’s actions and expressed gratitude for achieving a resolution without causing additional trauma to the child by testifying in court.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Julie Mohl. It was stressed that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a fair trial.

Bensalem Local Arrested on Child Rape Charges

**Bensalem, PA** – On Monday evening, Bensalem Police received a tip from the vigilante group “Predator Poachers” about an alleged child predator. The group, known for confronting accused individuals on camera, informed police about online interactions involving Keith Page.

The group reported that a member posed as an 11-year-old female on Facebook. Keith Page, 67, from Byberry Road, engaged with the persona and acknowledged the girl’s age, dismissing it by stating, “Age is only a number.” Over several weeks, Page sent and requested sexually explicit photos, providing his address and arranging a meeting for sexual purposes.

Police interviewed Page, who admitted to the accusations of seeking sexual photos and discussions with the minor. He was subsequently arrested, charged with multiple offenses including Rape of a Child Under 13, and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility with bail set at $200,000.

The Bensalem Township Police do not support these confrontations, highlighting their potential for violent outcomes. They urge the public to report suspicions to authorities for proper handling and investigation. The department continues its efforts in identifying and prosecuting such offenders.
