Small town store sells life-changing $25 million lottery ticket

$25 million scratch-off jackpot claimed as lucky ticket sold in small Massachusetts town

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. — A life-changing lottery prize has been claimed after a winning scratch-off ticket worth $25 million was sold at a local convenience store.

Open Door Trust of Boston claimed the massive grand prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$25,000,000 Mega Money” game.

The trust, represented by trustee Renat Lumpau, chose a one-time lump sum payment of $16.25 million before taxes instead of the full annuity.9

The winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms on Montague City Road in Turners Falls.

The retailer will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

Lottery officials say two more $25 million grand prizes still remain in the game.
