Snow prompts parking restrictions and delayed openings in Dover

DOVER, DE – As snow continued to fall Sunday morning, Dover police issued a reminder that vehicles must be removed from key city streets within one hour of snowfall beginning or face towing.

The advisory, posted around 7 a.m. by the Dover Police Department, applies to State Street, Governors Avenue, Division Street, and Water Street.

Officials said the restrictions are necessary to keep routes clear for emergency vehicles and hospital access during the winter storm.

Motorists were urged to avoid on-street parking throughout the city to help snow crews plow and treat roads efficiently.

City facilities delay opening amid storm
