WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a recent string of high-end jacket robberies, the Metropolitan Police Department has made a significant arrest. A 19-year-old man, identified as Deon Buckner of Southeast D.C., has been charged in connection with an armed robbery involving a Canada Goose jacket.
The incident, which occurred on January 4th at 11:26 a.m., took place in the 4700 block of Foote Street, Northeast. The victim, who was parked at the time, was confronted by two suspects. Under the threat of a gun, the victim was forced to hand over his expensive Canada Goose coat, along with other personal items including a wallet and grey yoga pants.
Buckner’s arrest on Wednesday was a breakthrough in the case. A gun was also recovered during his apprehension, adding to the gravity of the charges.
The Metropolitan Police Department is continuing their investigation and urges anyone with additional information to come forward. They are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
