BRONX, N.Y. – A shooting in the Bronx Saturday evening left one teenage boy dead and another injured, police said.

Officers responded around 6:25 p.m. to a 911 call reporting shots fired inside 1219 Adee Avenue, within the 49th Precinct. When they arrived, officers found an unidentified male with a gunshot wound to the chest.

A second victim, a 14-year-old boy, was discovered moments later outside 2909 Laconia Avenue, also within the 49th Precinct, suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm.

Emergency medical services transported the first victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead. Police officers rushed the 14-year-old to the same hospital in a marked patrol car. He was listed in stable condition.
