Greensburg, PA — A therapy dog spent time inside a district attorney’s office this week, offering a quiet moment of support as part of a nationwide effort to recognize crime victims and those who work with them.
Beau, a registered therapy dog with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, visited the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office on Friday in observance of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
The visit lasted more than an hour and was organized by the office’s Victim/Witness Services team. The initiative was designed to acknowledge victims, support survivors, and recognize professionals who assist them.
During the visit, Beau interacted with staff, providing a break focused on stress relief and emotional support. The Alliance of Therapy Dogs, an international organization, certifies therapy dog teams that work in various settings to promote comfort and well-being.
