Police say two suspects allegedly followed business owners home before robbing them at gunpoint in three separate Howard County incidents.

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. — Two Baltimore men have been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies in Howard County in which police say business owners were targeted after returning to their homes.

According to the Howard County Police Department, 29-year-old Diamante Gilliam and 28-year-old Timothy Evans Jr., both of Baltimore, are each charged with three counts of armed robbery, assault, theft and related offenses.

Investigators allege the robberies occurred in June and targeted business owners from the Baltimore area after they arrived home in Howard County.

Police said one victim was robbed twice at a home in Ellicott City on June 8 and June 23. A third robbery occurred June 4 at a residence in West Friendship.

According to investigators, the suspects displayed handguns, stole cash and other belongings, and fled the scenes.

No serious injuries were reported in any of the robberies.

Howard County police said the investigation was conducted in coordination with the Baltimore County Police Department, which arrested the two men in connection with several similar robberies in Baltimore County.
