Two Dead in South Jersey Murder Suicide

Clayton, NJ – Authorities confirmed a murder-suicide incident that resulted in two fatalities in Gloucester County. On Tuesday evening, Clayton police were called to the Academy Arms Apartments following reports of gunfire from a domestic dispute. Within the apartment leased by Anthony J. Williams, 45, officers discovered the deceased bodies of Nina D. Sinclair-Green, 43, and Williams.

According to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, Sinclair-Green and Williams had been residing together at the apartment. The investigation revealed that Williams fatally shot Sinclair-Green while she was in the process of packing her belongings for a move.

Following the shooting, Williams fired multiple rounds from a handgun towards a vehicle where Sinclair-Green’s family members were present to assist with her move; fortunately, no injuries occurred. Williams then tragically turned the gun on himself, leading to his demise inside the apartment.

Autopsies conducted by the Gloucester County Medical Examiner determined that Sinclair-Green died from multiple gunshot wounds classified as a homicide. Conversely, Williams’ cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the head, ruled as suicide.

Anyone with relevant information concerning the incident is urged to contact Detective Allen Williams from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office or Detective Edward Hyder from the Clayton Police Department.
