Two million dollar tickets pop in wild Maryland Lottery week

A string of big lottery wins has swept across Maryland, as two players from Clarksville and Salisbury each claimed $1 million prizes from scratch-off games in the past week.

The Maryland Lottery announced that a winning MONOPOLY™ X100 ticket sold at 108 Liquors on Clarksville Pike made one player a millionaire, while another scored the same top prize with a $1 Million Royale ticket purchased at Express Lane on Snow Hill Road in Salisbury.

In total, more than $33.4 million in prizes were paid to players statewide during the week of April 28 to May 4, including 29 tickets worth $10,000 or more. High-tier wins came from multiple corners of the state, including Mechanicsville and Hyattsville, where players won $150,000 and $100,000, respectively.

Other notable scratch-off wins include three separate $50,000 prizes and a series of $10,000 winners, spanning towns such as Frederick, Forest Hill, Chestertown, Upper Marlboro, and Reisterstown. The surge in winning tickets reflects widespread participation in a variety of scratch-off and draw games.

Players are reminded that winners of more than $25,000 must redeem their prizes at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore by appointment only.

Fast Play and Racetrax add to the winning streak across Maryland

The week’s winning streak extended beyond scratch-offs. A $50,000 Bonus Match 5 ticket was sold in Baltimore and remained unclaimed as of Monday, along with several Racetrax tickets worth between $10,000 and $31,000. Claimed wins in this category came from Laurel, Temple Hills, Hyattsville, and Cockeysville.

Among the unclaimed wins was a $13,462 Racetrax ticket sold at a Shell station in Fort Washington and a $13,394 ticket sold at Best 1 Food Market in Capitol Heights. Several other large Racetrax tickets have already been claimed, including a $24,628.50 prize in Temple Hills and a $12,789.40 prize in Cockeysville.

Under Maryland Lottery rules, all draw game tickets expire 182 days after the date of the drawing, and scratch-offs expire based on the final claim date listed online. Players are urged to check and sign their tickets promptly and claim winnings through the appropriate channels.

Winners claiming up to $25,000 may redeem their prizes at one of Maryland’s six casinos. Prizes up to $5,000 can be claimed at over 400 XCAP locations. Retailers can cash prizes of $600 or less.

The Maryland Lottery continues to update prize claim information and retail locations regularly on its website, where players can also view updated game details and draw results.
