WASHINGTON, DC – Two juvenile males have been apprehended by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Third District detectives for involvement in multiple robbery incidents in Northwest D.C. The arrests followed a series of targeted operations by local law enforcement.

The initial incident occurred on December 8th in the 2000 block of 15th Street, Northwest, around 2:50 p.m. The juveniles allegedly assaulted a victim and forcibly took their belongings before escaping the scene.

Further investigations led to a coordinated effort by the Fourth and Third District Crime Suppression Units. On Wednesday, they executed search warrants in the 1400 block of V Street, Northwest, culminating in the arrest of a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old, both from Northwest, D.C. The juveniles were taken into custody based on DC Superior Court juvenile custody orders and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence) related to the December 8th incident.

Additionally, the 15-year-old suspect faces charges for a separate robbery that took place on December 20th. In this incident, occurring around 3:15 p.m. on the 1300 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest, the suspects allegedly approached and threatened victims, simulating a weapon before stealing property and fleeing.

The D.C. Metro Police continue their investigation into these cases. They urge anyone with information to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or to send a text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411, advising the public to refrain from taking any direct action.
