BALTIMORE, MD — Two people were injured in a downtown Baltimore shooting Sunday evening after a report of an armed individual led police to the sound of gunfire near Light and Lombard Streets.

An officer patrolling the area was flagged down by a citizen around 6:00 p.m. and informed of a person with a weapon nearby. As the officer moved toward the location, multiple shots rang out.

The officer found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One was a 17-year-old male and the other a 19-year-old male. Both were taken to a local hospital with injuries that were determined to be non-life threatening.

Investigators said the shooting occurred on the unit block of E. Redwood Street. The area is located in the heart of the city’s downtown and includes retail, office, and transit hubs.
