Philadelphia, PA – A contentious public comment period at a Philadelphia City Council meeting focused on immigration enforcement and public safety as a speaker identifying with the MAGA movement accused city leaders of prioritizing attention on Rene Good, who was shot and killed by ICE agents while trying to run them over earlier this years, instead of focusing on homicide victims killed by the hands of illegal aliens in the city and beyond.
His name is John Allante McAuley, and he leads a grassroots political organization called “Flip Philly Red”.

Addressing council members, the speaker said he was “in disgust” after watching Councilmember Jamie Gauthier and activist Kendra Brooks display photos of Renee Good instead of photos of the victims of those killed by criminal migrants.
Speaker cites other victims
During his remarks, the speaker contrasted that attention with several homicide victims, including Dacara Thompson, Laken Riley, and Larisha Thompson.
“I’ve never seen her put up a picture of Dacara Thompson, a 19-year-old who was raped and murdered by an illegal alien and thrown over a bridge,” he said. “I’ve never seen her put up a picture of Laken Riley, who was raped and murdered. I’ve never seen her put up a picture of Larisha Thompson, a mother. I named two Black women, by the way. And y’all sit here and pander to white liberal women like Renee Good.”
Immigration policy at center of debate
The speaker also defended President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda, saying voters had delivered a mandate in the last election for stricter immigration enforcement.
“We are here to give something different to Philadelphia,” he said. “It’s not MAGA who’s doing all of the carjacking and the shootings. When we talk about ICE, 78 million people, seven swing states, including Pennsylvania, we voted for this. We gave a mandate. We wanted to deport 20 million illegal aliens.”
He concluded by urging city leaders to “stand up for Americans for once, because America comes first.”
The exchange highlighted the continuing divide over immigration enforcement, sanctuary city policies, and public safety as those issues remain central topics in political debate across Philadelphia and the nation.
