60-year-old woman dies after late-night Landover shooting

LANDOVER, MD – A welfare check turned into a homicide investigation after a 60-year-old woman found shot outside a Landover residence earlier this month died from her injuries on Tuesday, according to Prince George’s County Police.

Constance Miller was discovered with a gunshot wound in the 3100 block of 75th Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, after officers responded to check on her wellbeing. She was transported to a hospital, where she remained until her death eight days later.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit are now investigating her death as a murder. No suspects have been named, and investigators are working to determine a motive behind the shooting.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment. Police are urging anyone with tips to contact the Homicide Unit or submit information anonymously through Crime Solvers.
