Wilkes-Barre man arrested after alleged assault during domestic dispute

WILKES-BARRE, PA — A 24-year-old Wilkes-Barre man was taken into custody Friday morning after police said he assaulted a woman during a domestic dispute on Hickory Street.

Officers responded around 8:13 a.m. on August 22 and spoke with a 22-year-old woman who reported she had been in a verbal argument with Francisco Espinal. According to police, the victim said Espinal pulled her out of the residence by her hair, then kicked her in the head and back before fleeing the scene.

Espinal was later located, arrested, and held for arraignment.
