Winning lottery ticket worth $50k sold at Elkton Food Lion

ELKTON, MD – There’s probably a celebration happening somewhere in Cecil County! A lucky Elkton woman claimed a $50,000 top prize on a Ca$h To Go scratch-off, finding the first big win in the new game.

The 33-year-old bought her lucky instant ticket at Food Lion #1558 located at 1001 East Pulaski Highway in Elkton. The scratch-off had a matching number “7,” giving her a newfound fortune. Her lucky Lottery retailer also receives a bonus of $500 from the Lottery for its role in selling a top-prize winning scratch-off.

The $5 Ca$h To Go instant ticket went on sale Dec. 24. Players can search for the seven top prizes remaining along with 11 $5,000 prizes and others ranging from $5 to $1,000.
