Wolcott store sells double $50K winning tickets

Two $50,000 Mega Bucks tickets sold at same Wolcott store

WOLCOTT, CT – A lucky day at a local Wolcott retailer led to double the celebration after two Mega Bucks tickets worth $50,000 each were sold on the same day at Petro Pat LLC.

According to the Connecticut Lottery, the winning tickets were sold on October 15 at Petro Pat LLC in Wolcott. Both tickets matched enough numbers to secure $50,000 prizes, though lottery officials have not confirmed whether the tickets were purchased by the same person or by separate individuals.

The odds of two winning tickets being sold at the same location on the same day remain rare, making the back-to-back wins a notable event for the retailer and the town. As of now, the identities of the winners have not been released.

Players are encouraged to check their tickets and claim any winnings by signing the back and contacting the Connecticut Lottery. Petro Pat LLC is expected to receive a retailer bonus for selling the two high-tier winning tickets.

Mega Bucks is one of Connecticut’s draw games offering regular drawings and cash prizes for matching select combinations of numbers.
