$134,000 winning lottery ticket sold in Newark

NEWARK, NJ – A lucky ticket purchased at AJ Seabra Supermarkets XII, located at 73-83 Wilson Ave in Newark, Essex County, matched all five numbers drawn, winning the $134,010 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Saturday, April 8 drawing, according to New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey.

The winning numbers were 01, 06, 19, 33, and 34, and the XTRA number was 04. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.

“Congratulations to our very fortunate Jersey Cash 5 winner! We hope this incredible prize brings joy and happiness to the winner; we’re already looking forward to awarding another jackpot prize!” said Carey.

The Jersey Cash 5 game is a daily drawing that gives players a chance to win a top prize that starts at $100,000. Tickets cost $1 each, and players must choose five numbers from 1 to 45. The XTRA number, which is chosen at random, multiplies non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, or five times.
