FREEHOLD, NJ (MCPO NEWS) – Acting Prosecutor Lori Linskey, First Assistant Prosecutor Michael Wojciechowski, and Acting Chief of Detectives John G. McCabe Jr. yesterday presented retiring veteran MCPO Captain Barry DuBrosky with a token of appreciation for his approximately 25 years of dedicated service to the people of Monmouth County: a sculpture with an inscription, based on the design of the NYPD Police Memorial Statue at 1 Police Plaza in Lower Manhattan.

Captain DuBrosky joined the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office in October 2003, following a seven-year stint as a Police Officer with the Neptune Township Police Department. As an MCPO Detective, he served with distinction and honor, receiving multiple commendations while on assignment with several investigative units before being promoted to Sergeant in 2010.

DuBrosky was promoted to Captain in May 2014, after which he served as Coordinator of the Monmouth County Emergency Response Team (MOCERT) for the duration of his investigative career, while also commanding the MCPO Narcotics and Criminal Enterprise Investigation Section (2014-2019) and Criminal Investigation Section (2019-2021).

Throughout the course of his career, Captain DuBrosky led and contributed to a range of high-profile investigations leading to arrests, including the unrelated homicides of Jacquelin Terruli and Stephanie Parze in 2019.

Captain DuBrosky gave 25 years to the citizens of this county by serving with the highest degree of excellence, professionalism, and honor. We wish him all the very best in a well-earned retirement!
