COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Roshawn Adkins, Jr., who is wanted for the murder of 15-year-old Lovely Kendricks Monday afternoon at Franklin Park. She appears to have been an innocent bystander after a fight broke out in the park and one shot was fired, striking her.

According to police, at 3:20 pm on Monday, officers responded to the 1700 block of East Broad Street after 15-year-old was shot. The victim was rushed to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

“If you know the whereabouts of Roshawn Adkins Jr., you are asked to call the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730,” CPD said in a statement. Police advise the public not to confront Adkins as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Kendricks was a cheerleader who loved life, according to friends and family.
