Lottery ticket worth $1,000 a week for life sold in North Jersey

PASSAIC, NJ – Lottery officials in New Jersey announced a lucky player won $1,000 a week for life in North Jersey.

Shortways Barn, a convenience store located at 991 Goffle Rd in Hawthorne, Passaic County, sold a winning ticket for the New Jersey Lottery CASH4LIFE game. According to New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey, the ticket matched the five white balls drawn for the Sunday, April 9 drawing, winning the $1,000 a week for life second-tier prize.

“We’re excited to award this lucky player with a $1,000 a week for life prize, and can’t wait to hear how this will benefit them in the years to come,” said Carey.

The winning numbers for the Sunday, April 9 drawing were: 09, 16, 21, 27, and 28. The Cash Ball was 04. Six tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Cash Ball drawn, winning the $2,500 third-tier prize. One of those tickets was purchased with Doubler, doubling the prize to $5,000.

Additionally, 9,783 players won $64,681 in cash prizes ranging from $2 to $500, with 2,864 of those tickets doubling their prize with DOUBLER.
