25-Year-Old Critically Injured In Baltimore Shootout

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A man was critically injured early this morning during a shooting at the 1000 Block of Wildwood Parkway in Southwest Baltimore.

Shortly after midnight, patrol officers from the Baltimore Police Department arrived at the location to investigate several calls of a shooting. Police discovered the crime scene, but no victims were found. At the 3900 Block of Edmonson Avenue, police found a 27-year-old man. The man stated that he was involved in an altercation with another male when he displayed a handgun and started shooting at him. The 27-year-old man displayed a handgun and returned gunfire at the other man. Both men fled the scene. The 27-year-old had a legally possessed handgun that was permitted.

A short time later, police arrived at Wheeler Avenue and Franklin Street. There, police found a 25-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police determined that this man was the other shooter involved in this incident. The man was critically injured and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
