MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Dwayne E. Allen, a 21-year-old man from Palmyra, has been arrested by detectives from the Denville Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office’s Homeland Security & Juvenile Units.

The arrest took place on Tuesday, following an investigation into an incident where a handgun was discovered in the possession of two students at Morris Knolls High School on March 23, 2023.

Information developed during the investigation led detectives to believe that Allen allegedly sold the firearm to a juvenile in Morris County earlier in March.

Allen has been lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility and is facing charges including unlawful sale and possession of a firearm, transporting a firearm, and unlawful possession and sale of a high-capacity magazine.

At present, there are no known links between Allen and Morris Knolls High School.
