Palmyra Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Online Child Exploitation

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ – A 32-year-old Palmyra man, Sean Higgins, has been recently sentenced to 25 years in state prison for exploiting underage boys through social media.

Higgins, who served as the youth pastor and music leader at Harbor Baptist Church and a teacher at Harbor Baptist Academy, pleaded guilty to four counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children.

The charges did not involve physical contact with the victims or any members of the church or school. Higgins will serve 85 percent of his term before he becomes eligible for parole. He has been held in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly since his arrest in October 2020.
