Drive-by Shooting Injures Two in Fairmount Park

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A drive-by shooting in Fairmount Park early Sunday morning resulted in two injuries. The incident occurred at the Belmont Plateau, at 1800 Belmont Park Drive.

The Philadelphia Police Department reports that an unidentified individual in a dark-colored sedan fired into a crowd of 200-300 teenagers, striking a 19-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man. The girl, suffering gunshot wounds to the chest and back, is currently in critical condition. The man, shot in the leg, is in stable condition.

The investigation by the Philadelphia Police Department is ongoing.
