Home invader shot himself in the head, Police

SEVERNA PARK, MD – The Eastern District reported a home invasion and assault on Sunday, at around 9:00 pm in the unit block of Severndale Road in Severna Park.

Prior to the invasion, the suspect had reportedly sustained a self-inflicted head injury at a residence on Kensington Drive.

The suspect, a 29-year-old male from Severna Park, then forcefully entered a residence on Severndale Road and assaulted the occupant. He was subsequently arrested and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injury.

Charges are pending against the suspect.
