NYC Man Scammed, Sold Vehicle for Counterfiet Money

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Friday, June 30, at about 7:45 pm, a 25-year-old man was swindled in a counterfeit money scheme during a car sale. The New York City Police Department reports that the incident took place near Southern Boulevard and East 173 Street.

The unnamed man was conned with counterfeit money, then threatened with a firearm before the assailant fled the scene in the victim’s car. The victim was unharmed.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall male with a dark complexion, weighing roughly 200 pounds and last seen in dark clothing. The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating this individual.
