Child Shot Multiple Times in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting of a male juvenile that happened late yesterday afternoon in Northwest, D.C.

Police arrived at the 3200 block of 16th Street just before 5:30 pm to investigate a shooting report. Officers found the boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The severity of his injuries remains uncertain, although he is expected to survive.

The circumstances of the shooting are currently under investigation and have not been made public. Additionally, the identity and age of the involved juvenile have not been revealed by the authorities.

Police ordered a lookout for: “three black male juveniles, with one on a ride-share bike and one juvenile black female wearing a head wrap, last seen fleeing southbound on 16th Street NW.”
