Car Thieves Captured on Video in Newark

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé is requesting the public’s help to identify suspects linked to a car theft that took place on June 28.

The incident occurred around 8:35 pm on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

There, the suspects were caught on surveillance video breaking into a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe.

The individuals stole the vehicle after damaging the ignition.

Director Fragé asked anyone with information about the suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
