VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On Tuesday, an accident claimed the life of a pedestrian.
Beverly Meier, 62, of Virginia Beach, was fatally struck by a dump truck in the 1300 block of Taylor Farms Road at approximately 1:18 PM.
The incident occurred when the operator of the dump truck was backing up to exit a parking lot, hitting Meier in the process.
Meier was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck’s operator remained at the scene and cooperated with the ensuing investigation. There are currently no pending charges for the driver.
