Clinton Man Killed in Crash on Raintree Way

CLINTON, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a tragic fatal collision that occurred on Sunday morning in Clinton. The deceased driver has been identified as 67-year-old John Lee Perry, a resident of Clinton.

The incident took place on August 6, 2023, at approximately 08:30 am, when officers responded to the area of Raintree Way and Goblet Way for a report of a single-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, they discovered John Lee Perry unresponsive inside his vehicle. Tragically, he was pronounced dead a short time later.

According to the preliminary investigation, it appears that John Lee Perry was attempting to make a left turn when his vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree. The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation.
