SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. – The Suffolk County District Attorney, Raymond A. Tierney, announced on Tuesday that Tyriek Corbin, 24, from Mastic, was sentenced to 13 years in prison with an additional five years of post-release supervision.

This verdict comes after Corbin’s involvement in a shooting incident on August 14, 2022.

Around 5:15 p.m. that day, Corbin became involved in an altercation with two people searching for a lost French Bulldog puppy on Lockwood Drive in Shirley. The argument escalated, with Corbin fetching a firearm from a nearby house and firing multiple shots at the vehicle of the individuals.

The vehicle was struck three times but no injuries were reported.

Corbin was found guilty of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree on April 11, and was sentenced by Supreme Court Justice Timothy P. Mazzei on June 14.
