Fugitive Murder Suspect Captured After Using EBT Card

UTICA, NY – Syracuse homicide suspect Luther Seay, age 50, was apprehended in Utica after police traced his EBT card usage at local businesses.

The Syracuse Police Department contacted the Utica Police Department Warrants Unit with information that led to Seay’s location. Members of the Warrants and GIVE units then acted on this information. At approximately 7:45 PM, officers located Seay walking on the 500 block of Plant St.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Seay, who has no last known address, was subsequently transported for a meeting with Syracuse Police Department officers for the purpose of charging.
