Man Armed With Handgun Empties Cash Register into Bag During Robbery

COLUMBUS, OH – Robbery Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred on Monday. A male suspect entered a business in south Columbus and confronted an employee at gunpoint.

The suspect demanded money from the register, placed it in a bag he was carrying, and then left the store by jumping over the counter.

The suspect is described as a male, 5’7″ to 5’10” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a red hoodie, black sweatpants, gray gloves, and a black mask. He was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun and carried a black sling-type bag.

The Columbus Police Robbery Unit is using surveillance photos to identify the suspect. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Robbery Unit at 614-645-4665.
