CORAOPOLIS, PA – A man is in critical condition after a shooting on Mount Vernon Avenue, prompting an investigation by the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
County 9-1-1 received a call at 5:28 pm regarding a shooting in the 500 block of Mount Vernon Avenue. First responders arrived to find an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Homicide detectives have initiated an investigation into the incident. Authorities have not released further details at this time.
