Shooting in Harlem Leaves 65-Year-Old Man Dead

NEW YORK, NY – A 65-year-old man was fatally shot on West 142 Street and Lenox Avenue on Wednesday, with police continuing to search for suspects.

Around 11:19 a.m., officers from the 32nd Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot at the mentioned location. Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was quickly transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in critical condition. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld until family members are notified.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is still in progress.
