Teen Injured by Stray Bullet in Midwood, Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY – A 16-year-old girl was injured by a stray bullet in Midwood on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred as she was walking from Edward R. Murrow High School, near East 16th Street and Avenue M.

The bullet grazed her right ankle, close to the Q train station.

She was taken to Maimonides Medical Center and is currently in stable condition.

The police believe the stray bullet resulted from a nearby gang altercation. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
