Man Thwarts Armed Robbers Who Wanted to Steal his XBox Console

by Jeff Jones

Brooklyn, MD – A local man’s prompt action likely prevented an armed robbery yesterday, October 15, near the intersection of 2nd Street and Tungston Street. At around 2:00 p.m., the would-be victim was cycling in the area, carrying an Xbox game console when a maroon sedan with three unknown male occupants pulled up beside him.

The men inside the vehicle began questioning the cyclist about his Xbox. One individual then exited the sedan and demanded the game console. According to the police report, “The victim refused to give up his Xbox, and one suspect implied he had a weapon.”

In response, the man pulled out a pocket knife, prompting the suspects to quickly flee the area in the direction of 2nd Street. Officers arrived shortly afterward and conducted a search of the vicinity, but were unable to locate the suspects.
