Police in Newark Appeal for Help to Identify Suspect in Vehicle Burglary Case

NEWARK, NJ – Authorities in Newark are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who stole $4,000 worth of power tools from a vehicle on October 25.

Captured on surveillance footage around 11:40 p.m., the individual climbed a garage fence at 9 Clark Street. The video shows the suspect checking multiple car doors before accessing the vehicle holding the power tools and a laptop, which he also took.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé encourages anyone with pertinent information to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
