DUNKIRK, MD – On December 15, Cedric Fonta Moore, 39, from Washington, DC, received a 23-year prison sentence with 9 years active for his involvement in the May 2023 M&T Bank robbery in Dunkirk. Calvert County Circuit Court Judge Mark S. Chandlee issued the sentence.

As robbery is classified as a violent crime, Moore is required to serve at least half of his sentence before he is eligible for parole. The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Christopher J. Monte.

Two other individuals implicated in the robbery have already been sentenced to 8 and 15 years, respectively. Another participant, Jemel Anthony Brown, awaits sentencing on January 18, 2024.
