Thieves Entered Unlocked Home to Get Key Fob in Car Theft

LINWOOD, NJ – In the early hours of Saturday, Officer Stanley Ramnaidu, while conducting a neighborhood check in Linwood Estates, noticed a vehicle backing out of a driveway and subsequently leaving the area.

Officer Ramnaidu attempted a traffic stop on Forsgate Drive after observing a motor vehicle violation, but the vehicle fled.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen from a local residence, with suspects gaining access through an unlocked car and using the garage door remote to enter the house.

They located the key fob for the vehicle and fled.

The police department emphasizes the importance of securing vehicles and homes to prevent such incidents. They request the public to report any suspicious activities immediately. The investigation continues.
