Assault in Lower Manhattan Sends Man to Hospital With Serious Facial Injuries

NEW YORK CITY, NY—An assault occurred on Monday at approximately 7:37 p.m. when an unidentified man attacked a 41-year-old male victim. The assailant, described as having a medium complexion and curly hair, struck the victim multiple times in the face with a closed fist, resulting in a broken nose and a fractured eye socket.

The victim was transported to the New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital by Emergency Medical Services, where he was reported to be in stable condition. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot. Despite the severity of the victim’s injuries, no other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The attacker was last observed wearing a black jacket.
