If Your Basement is Flooded, Don’t Call 911, Police Ask as Floods Hit North Jersey

by Local News Report

SECAUCUS, NJ – The Secaucus Police Department has issued a warning to residents experiencing flooding in their basements and yards due to the current weather conditions. The department requests that residents avoid contacting the police desk for non-emergency flood issues, as the Department of Public Works (DPW) is unable to assist at homes due to their commitment elsewhere.

The police emphasize the importance of keeping emergency lines open for urgent situations.

They express gratitude for the public’s understanding and cooperation during this period. For emergencies, residents are urged to call 9-1-1 immediately.
