Teenager Fatally Shot in East Harlem

NEW YORK – Police are investigating after a teen was shot and killed today in Harlem.

Early Wednesday morning, a shooting incident in East Harlem resulted in the death of a 19-year-old male. The New York City Police Department responded to a 911 call at approximately 3:36 AM, reporting a shooting at East 112th Street. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was conscious and alert at the scene.

Emergency Medical Services promptly transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was later pronounced dead. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the NYPD’s investigation is actively ongoing.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of his family. The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
