BRICK, NJ — Family and friends are mourning the untimely death of 18-year-old Catalina Reinoso of Brick, who succumbed last weekend to injuries from an April 14 crash in Manchester.

The accident, a single-vehicle collision, occurred around 2 a.m. on Lacey Road. While the Manchester Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office have not disclosed specific details as the case is still under investigation, it is known that Catalina was one of several passengers in the sedan and suffered severe injuries.

Catalina, a recent graduate of Brick Township High School, was remembered for her vibrant spirit and aspirations. She worked at Marshalls and had just received acceptance letters from Rowan and Stockton Universities, aiming to pursue a career as an ultrasound technician.

Her legacy continues through her final act of kindness, as her organs were donated to nine recipients. In response to her passing, a GoFundMe campaign was set up to assist with medical costs, raising over $18,000 by Thursday evening.
