Police Respond to Reported Car Crash to Find Man Shot and Killed

Brooklyn, MD — A homicide investigation is ongoing following a shooting incident on Friday evening. Joshua Ray Holland, 34, of Curtis Bay, MD, was fatally injured in what was initially reported as a motor vehicle collision.

Northern District officers were dispatched to the intersection of Route 2 North and Orchard Avenue at approximately 6:35 PM. Upon arrival, they discovered Holland suffering from gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to Shock Trauma, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Witnesses at the scene described a vehicle that stopped abruptly at the intersection, from which Holland fell out of the driver’s side front door before the vehicle fled. The vehicle was later found near Old Riverside Road and Arundel Road.
