Arrest Made in Hate Crime Incident at Jewish Museum in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD—A 66-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fire set outside the Jewish Museum of Maryland on August 4, 2024. The incident, which took place in the unit block of Lloyd Street, has been classified as a hate crime by the Baltimore Police Department.

The suspect, who has a prior history of fire-related offenses, was apprehended by Baltimore City SWAT officers. The arrest occurred without incident on August 10, at a residence located in the 700 block of Druid Park Lake Drive.

The suspect has since been transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges related to the hate crime. The Baltimore Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and encourages community cooperation in maintaining vigilance against such crimes.
