NYPD Seeks Suspect in Forcible Touching Incident in Greenwich Village

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a forcible touching incident that took place early Sunday morning in Greenwich Village.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 3:55 a.m. on September 8, 2024. A 20-year-old woman was walking near Broadway and East 9th Street when an unidentified individual approached her from behind on an electric bicycle. The suspect grabbed the woman’s buttocks before fleeing the scene on the bike.

The victim was not injured in the incident, authorities said. The NYPD has released images of the individual wanted in connection with the case and is asking for help in identifying the suspect.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the NYPD or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers. The investigation is ongoing.
